Day 18: Wednesday, January 22nd
Today's Topic: Children
Read 3 John 1:4 TPT: 4It is the greatest joy of my life to hear that my children are consistently living their lives in the ways of truth!
Think about this: Today’s prayer focus is our children. Psalm 127:3-4 says "3Behold, children are a heritage and gift from the Lord, The fruit of the womb a reward. 4Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth." This verse tells us children are like arrows in the hand of the warrior. Mighty arrows that can destroy the enemy. No wonder the devil tries so hard to stop them.
You can stand on the promises in God’s Word for your children. Proverbs 22:6 AMP says, "6Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it." Thank God that the seeds you have planted in your children will not return void. Today as you spend time with God, pray specifically for your children. Remind God of what His word says regarding their lives.
(Maybe you don’t have children yet, you can pray this prayer for the children you will have one day or the children in your family!)
Pray this prayer: Dear God, today I lift up my children. Thank you that the Word of God is planted in their hearts. Thank you that you promise that that word will not return void. I believe what you said, that my children will walk in truth.
