Day 16: Monday, January 20th

Today's Topic: Community

Read Hebrews 10:24-25 TPT: 24Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. 25This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.

Think about this: God created us for fellowship, both with Him and with others. Community is important. When we join together with other, likeminded, believers it brings an opportunity for encouragement and motivation. We are stronger together than we are alone. The enemy likes nothing more than to isolate us and divide us from people that will build us up and help us grow. He tries to bring offense to separate us from life giving relationships.

During this time of prayer and fasting, as you are being intentional about spending time with God, ask him to show you the right relationships that He has for you. Be purposeful about setting aside time to fellowship with others. Don’t let anything stop you from building a quality community that will help you maximize your life.

Pray this prayer: Dear God, I thank you in advance for the community you have prepared for me. I won’t allow strife to come in and separate me from the relationships you want me to have. When you show me who you want me to fellowship with, I’ll be intentional to do what you ask. Help me to not only be encouraged and motivated by others, but to be the encourager and motivator for others that you want me to be.
