Happy New Year!

Today’s Scripture 

“Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as low. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:14-19

Today’s Thought 

The first step to having a fresh start with God means you’re going to have to forget the former things… You’re going to have to believe God for the Holy Spirit to lead you into new things… Remember, press for the prize in the future, rather than return to your past.

Today’s Confession

Father God, I’m so thankful that your Word teaches me to press for the future prize you have waiting for me…Lord, this new year is a fresh start with you, a new chapter in my life… I will not be held back by mistakes in my past… I will move forward relying on the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead me to my victorious future and into new things.
