Today’s Scripture

Come back, come back, O God to restore us! You are the Commander of Angel Armies. Look down from heaven and see our crisis. Come down and care for your lovely vineyard once again. Nurture our roots and our fruit with your loving care. Raise up the Branch-Man, the Son whom you’ve made strong. Enemies chopped down our vine and set it on fire; now show them your anger and let them perish by your frown. Strengthen this Branch-Man, the Son of your love, the Son of Man who dwells at your right hand. Then we will never turn back from you. Revive us again, that we may trust in you.

Today’s Thought

Wow, nurture the root so we can bear loving fruit. The more time you spend in God’s presence, the easier it will be for you to act like God in the presence of others. Our strength comes from our connection to God.

Today’s Confession

God, thank you for nurturing me, I know that my strength comes from you. Thank you that as I spend more time with you helps me be more Christlike with others. Help me to have strength through my connection to you.
